Guess what! My rank has went up from in the top 4000 to now 2089. Yeah, that's a HUGE upgrade. My goal is by the next two years to improve in drawing, get a bamboo drawing board, and make it to the top 100. Yeah, I'm committing to this. So thank you to any of you who have went on RMD to help my rank and my drawings. I means a lot and will definitely help to accomplish my goal. I've already thanked everyone who comments on RMD so if one day they happen to read this, THANK YOU! Well, that's pretty much it. Due to school I've been kind of hesitant to draw because I draw everyday for two periods non-stop. But, I think if my weekend is a it free this week, I'll have a new drawing up. Maybe of Bakuman or Ao No Exorcist. Perhaps even Beelzebub. If you like any of those three, feel free to tell me in the comments below. I'll be back with another update soon, bye!

So, I have recently analyzed my drawings and realized, I'm only a few rates and comments away from being on the home page of RMD. For those of you who don't know, being on the homepage can increase my subscribers and friends tenfold. So if I manage to do that, it will be a HUGE accomplishment. So this is a request to my supporters out there, if there are any, to go on ratemydrawings.com/izzmeshanjida (the link is in the sidebar) and just rate. Only takes a second to click and press 5 heats under the drawings you think deserve it. Now, if you think one of my drawings are not worthy of the five stars, please don't rate at all. Getting four stars or lower can really affect the ratings of my drawings. So a lot of the people on the site only look thumbnails they find interesting and rate. If it's not good, they don't rate. So the more ratings you have, the more popular you know you are. Also, I'm not asking you to rate all my drawings. If there are one or two drawings you like by me, rate it. So, I've decided to blog a little more often now. Mostly because I like customizing my blog. :D Back to topic, I got a new drawing! *children "HOORAY!" sound effect* I know, I know. Today I was looking through my drawings and realized, I don't have a drawing of my favorite anime! I know, shocking. Since I didn't really have much time to spend on this new drawing, I turned it into a doodle. Basically a black and white picture as you can see below. Only took me like an hour. Only cause coloring the gaps is mad annoying so I get lazy. For the of you who don't know who the guy is, it's L from Death Note. Never heard of him? He is THE BEST detective of all time. Alright, I know what none of you are thinking, why hasn't Shanjida updated her blog? And to those of you who didn't notice, my blog hasn't been updated since before I left to Bangladesh. So yeah, it's been a while. But those of you who follow me, don't even bother to comment on my blog sometimes even though I really appreciate feedback. D': This does not include the one or two people who have commented. You guys know who you are :D. Anyways, after I returned from Bangladesh, I drew two pictures. Actually, drew one and colored the other. They're a little different from my usual style. The first one I planned to enter in a contest, but I accidentally picked the wrong category. Then, I didn't save the drawing so I couldn't change it and it forever remains in the landscape category. Though, no one will probably care. My chances of winning were slim anyways. So, the drawing is called "Reach for the Star." The other one is a collaborations with another RMD user name Hairei. An awesome artist. Basically she did the line art and sent it to me so I could color. I ended up adding a background line art to it. Anyway, it was a fun experience. I gave it a random name because I didn't know what to call it. Feel free to leave suggestions. So, I'll post them down below. If I show up in your updated blogs or what ever, please spend 5 minutes or less to leave feed back. Means a lot. Wow, I typed a lot. I realized I haven't posted in a long time. Sorry to those of you who wanted to see my drawings. So far I've done two drawings since my last post. One of them was a doodle I did in like a day. It's Kyo from Fruits Basket. Search it up if you're interested in it. The other one is Ayuzawa Misaki from Kaichou wa Maid-Sama. It was a pretty stupid anime but the website I draw on has a lot of fan girls. I did it for the popularity. It's like a love, drama anime so for those of you interested, search it up. You can find these mangas/animes on the websites on my sidebar. One this I do like about Maid-Sama though is the main character. She's my role model. Fourth Try: Gundam Robot

I haven't posted in a while, but that's because I've been working on a new drawing. Some of you already know, but it's a Gundam robot. Shout out to Shariful who suggested the idea to me. It required a lot of effort and took me a VERY long time. Both line art and coloring. Especially coloring. I already put the picture on rate my drawings so feel free to check it out there. Some of you might know which anime it's from, but for those who don't, it's Full Metal Alchemist. I drew Ed, the main character. Second Try: Naruto

So, like I said in my last post, I found a website called ratemydrawings.com where you draw pictures with their software. It's not doodles, they have some really awesome pictures. Things that I would never even be able to draw by hand. It freaking incredible what people can do. Last time I made Ichigo with it. Was pretty off from the original, but it was my first time. I actually found that I liked using this software and decided to try another one. So, I made Naruto. Basically, it's fan art. I complete copy of a picture. It's pretty off in my opinion. But, there were a lot of layers I put in and I used lock art (for those of you who understand) so it would become very difficult to go back to different layers to fix problems. But, it's my second attempt so cut me some slack. I've actually been working on this since yesterday, so yes, I put a lot of effort. Please leave your comments on it below for future pictures. Also, I made an account on the site. I'll put my link in the side bar for those of you who want to see what I make. I only have one picture right now, but I hope to have a lot in the near future. This blog is finally turning out like I wanted. The suggestions are really helping so thanks! It actually motivates me to post more. Lol. So today I ran into a site called ratemydrawings.com. I'll put the link in the side bar. Basically it's where people use something similar to paint to make drawings and such. There's this one user who makes incredible anime. So, I wanted to mess around with it a little and see how far I could get while using it. So, I got a picture and tried to make it with the demo version of the paint thing. Basically, I want to know how it came out. Could really use the comments. :) If possible, I might want to work with it more. See how much I can improve. Thanks again!

Thank you for the few people that have begun to read my blog. I appreciate the help. I want to improve as much as possible so it means a lot. Anyways, I decided to listen to some of your comments and work on the drawing. I defined the eyes a bit more but it's a shonen manga so not much of a difference in the eyes since last time. I worked on the shading and coloring. I think Takagi's left cheek is a bit messed up so I'll fix that. I tried to make Mashiro's arm look like it's actually coming out of his shoulder though I don't think it's a noticeable change. I know the wrinkles on Takagi's sweatshirt didn't come out to well either so I'll try to fix that. Basically, I was hoping to see if there are any other suggestions in the coloring or drawing. I hope I'm making progress so everyone's opinion really matters. I'm going to put two scans up. One that is auto-enhanced and another one that's just plain. I couldn't choose between them so feel free to look at which ever. Remember to comment with your suggestions.

Manga Drawing Update

For anyone who actually looks at my drawings, I'm sorry I haven't been updating. You're probably thinking if the contest is already over. Most likely yeah. I didn't mail mine in. Firstly because I didn't finish. I know stupid but I put it off for a reason: I feel I'm too much of a noob at manga at the moment. I mean how's a total amateur like me suppose to get anywhere. I still have learned to color properly. So I've been studying manga art with different genres of manga and of course rereading Bakuman for tips. I've been trying to learn how to make a name and what type of paper I should use and how to do toning and background effects. It's a serious hassle. I don't know how mangakas have these come out like once a week. It would take me like 2 months to write a proper manga chapter. But for those of you who wanted to see my noob drawing, don't worry I haven't abandoned it. I'll scan and put up what I have so far. My coloring needs more work, I know that. By the way for that one person or two people that read this blog, please put up constructive criticism in the comments. Not compliments. I want to know how I can improve not how well I'm doing. For those of you who want to get me a present for no particular reason, there's a whole website to order manga tools! Lol no don't get me any. I won't accept it. I'll save up to get it myself. Well that's it for now, I'll put up the finished drawing soon. Also I'm gonna put up some drawings of anime characters. Things I design myself. I've been watching Miki Falls's author Mike Crilley's videos on youtube for help. For those of you who don't know, Miki Falls is a graphic novel written and drawn by Mike Crilley in a manga style art. He also wrote Brodey's Ghost. Really good artist in my opinion. Feel free to watch him. I'll put his link in the side bar. You'll probably find my art style to come out similar to his. Anyway, that's it. Sorry I didn't auto-enhance the scan cause the coloring comes out like crap if I do.

So after finally getting over the last incident, I decided to plan out where I was going to draw for the competition. It's not done. It took like 5 minutes because I was just doing outline sketches. I scanned it below for anyone who wants to see it. Today, I'm going to put in some more details. I hope to be able to have it colored in by the end of next week. Also, I still haven't decided to whether or not I'm inking it. Hopefully, I'll have the whole thing done by early April. So thanks again if you read my updates and comment. It really is helpful. Bad News Update

Hey I have great news. You guys remember the fan art competition I was going to enter and I would scan the drawing I was working on for you? Well....IT'S IN THE DUMPSTER! YAY! Basically my wonderful, smart, loving, genius, mother threw out every paper in sight for a party that's not supposedly for me even though I never wanted one. YAY! So, now I will have to redraw the whole thing and show it to you. The point of this post was to tell any one person who perhaps reads my updates that the drawing will be delayed. Hmm... I do these posts for comments but no one reads. Oh well, I'm just going to have to suck it up and make it better than before. Hope you like it.

Fan Art Competition Update

This is basically an update on the Fan Art Competition. As you know my last post had a picture of what I was working on. I decided I didn't like it. I kind of hated it. I can make a whole list of it's flaws. So, this post it just going to tell you of how I'm going to make my next attempt look. It's going to be Mashiro looking up from drawing 5 of his main rivals with Takagi looking up right beside him. I was thinking of maybe putting Azuki and Miyako in front of them but I haven't yet decided. If you have trouble understanding this, I'll put up a scan once I get it done. This probably won't be my final though. If I'm satisfied, I'll redraw this on water color paper and then I'll probably paint it. Once I do that I'll have to ink it and then I'll be able to send it in to San Francisco. It might sound simple, but it's not. I also know many people will not read this, but I could use the constructive criticism. Please comment once I scan, it'll help a lot. And not just if you like it and say it looks nice, no drawing is perfect. Remember, if you want information on this contest, it's in my past post. Fan Art Competition

I know I said I wouldn't blog often but this is sort of important. So I was randomly wandering about shonenjump.com when I ran into an update for a Bakuman fan art competition. For those of you who don't know much about manga or anime, Shonen Jump is a manga magazine (Japanese comics) and Bakuman is one of the mangas that run in the magazine. So once I read through the rules, I thought "maybe I should enter". The winner gets prizes and all but I just want to see if my art is good enough to win and if I'm creative enough to send a good message through the art. Of course, I'm not very confident about my art work so I decided to scan it onto my blog and have some people look at it. Bakuman is basically about two high school guys who decide they want to become mangakas and their journey to getting an anime. In the pictures you'll see two guys and one of them is drawing three other guys. Well the two guys are then ones that draw and write their own manga while the three guys are their rivals. They have more rivals but I wanted to focus on the guy rivals. If you want to find out more about this manga/anime I'll put a link to it below. If you want to enter too, I'll also leave a link to the rules. So leave your comments and tell me what you think of my drawings. Also it's not completely done because I have to go over it in pen and put in some more shading and fix some lines but just tell about the over all idea of the picture and what you think of it.

I deleted all my posts. I read over them and discovered how stupidly stupid I was back then. I also edited the description and everything. Honestly, I'm not a unsatisfied hater who has a problem with everything. I guess I was just messed up back then and thought I looked cool to be a hater or something. Basically I don't understand myself too well. But, this doesn't mean that I've decided to continue blogging on a daily basis. Honestly, I think blogging is pretty dumb. In my opinion, it's just a public diary about your opinion on things. No one will read unless you're famous and I don't want to tell people about my life. Please do not take any offense if you are reading this and are a daily blogger. It's just my opinion. Basically, what I'm trying to say is I hate diaries and blogs and journals and whatever else you want to write or type in. Again, I'm not trying to be hater but I feel the more you talk or write or type about your problems, the more it will bother you. If you just suck it up and try to ignore it, chances are it won't bother you as much. If it is really a big problem, talk about it someone you trust. A diary won't try to make you feel better or give you advice, it'll just be there for you to look back at things you regret and will continue to make you feel worse. I know when I looked at all my posts I kind of hated myself for being such a bitchy ass. Excuse my language* So you're probably wondering, why is she posting then? Well my answer is this: A blog without a post just looks plain weird. Also I wanted to show people who may stumble upon this blog why I deleted all my posts or why I won't be posting too often. Not that many people would care... Well that's all I have to say.
